A True Work of Heart

[Verse 1]

On a warm summer day, a light breeze on my face,

I gather the implements all in one place.

A bucket and sponge, the soap and the hose,

And this old ball cap, to keep the sun off my nose.

 

[Verse 2]

Old sneakers, some shorts , my fave-rit t-shirt,

And I’m ready to launch an attack on that dirt!

Windows rolled up, and it’s parked in the shade,

This car wash moment seems perfectly made.

Washing a car can feel like a chore,

But we all love a ride that's clean to the core.

So with hose in hand, I’m ready to start,

‘Cause a really clean car, is a true, work, of, heart!

 

[Verse 3]

Rubbing the roof, and cleaning the hood,

Scrubbing each section, it looks so good,

Warm soapy water, and my favorite song,

The hose in my hand, can’t do any wrong.

My playlist is pumping, got me feeling alright,

I’m makin' this baby so sparkling bright!

Cleaning the fenders, washing the wheels,

This is car wash therapy, oh how it heals!

Hose it down and the suds slide away,

I stare at this beauty, can’t keep from grinning,

Should wax it now, but the ball game’s beginning.

Washing my car, is such a playful affair,

And the way that it shines is beyond compare!
