Sky of blue and streaks of orange...
between the darkness and the light.
The writing on the wall said...
spaghetti dinner Tuesday night.

I think of things that never happened,
a cool breeze blows through my mind.
I am stuck and the meter's running,
I really need to unwind...

As this world spins around,
I pace here in this hole,
just like a wayward thief,
in a flushing toilet bowl.
I lay down on the grass outside,
and it's like I'm in a dream.
Ignorance is bliss, they say…
things are never what they seem!

I'm racing blindly toward tomorrow...
while looking back at yesterday.
I left behind my slice of heaven,
I just had to get away...

While my waist is getting thicker,
And my hair is getting thin...
I'm still trying not to notice,
That you never let me in.
