Out on open water, the sun kissing at my skin,

This intoxicating freedom, completely pulls me in,

The sailboat slices forward, with the horizon as my guide.

The wind tosses my hair, and I feel so alive.

With every gentle movement, any worries drift away,

Reviewing dreams and memories from every key and bay,

The waves lap very softly, a quiet serenade.

In these peaceful moments, my sailor’s heart’s displayed.
