Nobody's looking my way at all,
My lunch tray trembles with my rising gloom.
Then you wave me over to eat with you,
Where I see that you saved me a seat.
You didn't care that I was shy and new,
Just said, "Hey man, sit and eat."

Staring at lines of numbers on the page,
Worried that algebra makes no sense.
Could this affect my college days?

Then sat by the bed and saw me through.
